2 lange Tag durch Spanien

2 long days through Spain

 

Als ich heute Morgen erwachte, ging ich erst einmal eine Stunde am Strand joggen, denn die folgenden Tage würden wir viel im Auto sitzen... Viel Wind verwehte meine Zweifel und Ängste für einen Moment... denn eigentlich hatte ich vor von Tarifa aus über Portugal nach Galizien zu fahren, wo Eva und Manuel mir ihr angeboten hatten in ihrem Haus zu wohnen. Nur war natürlich auch Mouad mit viel Gepäck unterwegs und alles andere als willig mit dem Zug nach Girona zu reisen... Das verstand ich und willigt deshalb ein zusammen nach Girona zu fahren. Nach dem Stretching inkl. doppelten Espressos und einem frisch gepressten Orangensaft in einem hübschen Strandcafe machte ich mich auf den Weg zurück zum Hotel Misiana. 

 

When I woke up this morning, I first went running for an hour at the beach, as we will be sitting in the car a lot the next days... A strong wind blew away my doubts and fears for a moment... actually I intended to take the road from Tarifa over Portugal to Galicia, where Eva and Manuel had offered me to live in her house. Only also Mouad was travelling with a lot of luggage and was anything but willing to continue by train to Girona... Of course I understood and therefore agreed to drive on together to Girona. After stretching incl. a double espresso and a freshly squeezed orange juice in a pretty beach cafe I headed back to the hotel Misiana.

Da meine Uhren 10:30 Uhr anzeigten dachte ich, ich hätte alle Zeit für eine gemütliche Dusche, in Ruhe zu packen und mich bereit für die Weiterreise zu machen... Plötzlich sagte Mouad, dass es bereits 12 Uhr war – und in der Tat: Wir hatten vergessen die Uhren umzustellen, denn in Spanien war es eine Stunde später als in Marokko! Ich gab Vollgas und um 12:30 Uhr checkten wir aus. Da heute aus irgendeinem Grund die Zufahrtstrassen zum Hotel  gesperrt waren, offerierte die Besitzerin uns und unser Gepäck zum Parkplatz zu fahren, was wir natürlich gerne annahmen, da wir gestern fast alles Gepäck aus dem Auto genommen hatten! 

 

Um 13 Uhr waren wir endlich soweit die Autobahn Richtung Nordosten zu nehmen. Eine Stunde später machten wir eine Pause um in einem  Fischrestaurant in Algeciras etwas zu essen, denn wir hatten vor lauter Aufregung keine Zeit gefunden zu frühstücken...

 

Danach fuhren wir bei angenehmen Temperaturen um die 25 Grad weiter Richtung Nordosten und entschieden uns um 20 Uhr ein Hotel an der Autobahn zu suchen. Davon hatte es zum Glück viele hier in Spanien, so dass wir um 20:30 Uhr kurz vor Murcia in Librilla ins Hotel Entresierras eincheckten. Es war bereits merkbar kühler: 14 Grad. Wir waren beide müde und gingen deshalb gleich ins Hotelrestaurant etwas essen. Danach fielen wir ziemlich früh todmüde ins Bett. 

  

Since my watches showed 10:30 am, I thought I had all the time for a leisurely shower, to pack in peace and make myself ready for the continuation of our journey... Suddenly Mouad told me that it was as early noon – and in fact: We had forgotten to correct the time, as in Spain it was one hour later than in Morocco! I hit the gas and at 12:30 pm we checked out. For some reason the access roads to the hotel were closed today, but the owner offered to drive us and our luggage to the parking lot, what we gladly accepted, because we had taken almost all the luggage out of the car yesterday!

 

At 1 pm we were finally ready to take the highway to the northeast. An hour later we took a break at a seafood restaurant in Algeciras to have something to eat as in the heat of the moment we had not found any time to have breakfast this morning...

 

Thereafter we drove on towards the northeast with pleasant temperatures around 25 centigrade and decided to look for a hotel along the highway around 8 pm. Luckily there are many of them here in Spain, so that we checked in the Hotel Entresierras in Librilla, just a few km before Murcia, half an hour later. It was already noticeably cooler: 14 centigrade. We were both tired and therefore went directly for dinner at the hotel restaurant. Not a lot later we both fell into bed dead tired.

Nach 10 Stunden Schlaf füllte ich die Badewanne und genoss ein herrliches Bad. Um 10 Uhr waren wir beim Frühstück und eine Stunde später auf der Autobahn Richtung Girona... Auch heute herrschten angenehme Reisetemperaturen im Süden Spaniens 25 Grad und im Norden 18 Grad und ausserdem hatte es wenig Verkehr, so kamen wir gut voran und erreichten Girona um 18 Uhr. 

 

After 10 hours of sleep I first filled the bath tub and enjoyed a wonderful bath. At 10 am we were at breakfast and an hour later on the highway towards Girona... Even today the temperatures for travelling were ideal: In southern Spain 25 centigrade and 18 in the north. In addition there was only little traffic, so we moved forward well and reached Girona at 6 pm.

In Girona gingen wir erst einkaufen und fuhren dann nach Sant Jordi, wo Mouads Frau Anna und Tochter Miriam wohnen. Ich wurde herzlich empfangen und Anna hatte mir sogar ein Zimmer eingerichtet! : ) Mariam war natürlich überaus glücklich ihren Vater wiederzusehen und hüpfte die ganze Zeit aufgeregt herum bis sie um 22 Uhr endlich todmüde einschlief... Nicht viel später tat ich dasselbe, denn morgen hatte ich ja nochmals 1000 km vor mir...

In Girona we first went shopping and then drove to Sant Jordi, where Mouads wife Anna and daughter Miriam live. I was warmly welcomed and Anna had even set up a room for me! : ) Of course Mariam was very happy to see her father and hopped around excitedly until 10 pm when she finally fell asleep dead tired... Not much later I did the same thing, because tomorrow I had another 1000 km ahead of me...
