Gestern
Nacht konnte Mouad doch tatsächlich noch einen Mechaniker für unser Auto organisieren,
der um Mitternacht kam und um 2 Uhr war alles wieder in Ordnung. So blieben ihm
doch noch 4 Stunden Schlaf bis er wieder auf musste um Kunden in einem Riad in
der Medina abzuholen und nach Fes zu transferieren…
Last night Mouad actually was able to organize a mechanic for the car, who arrived at midnight and by 2 am everything was back in order. So there were still 4 hours of sleep left before Mouad had to get up and pick up customers in a Riad in the medina and drive them to Fez...

Ich
schlief noch bis 10 Uhr und traf mich danach mit Jean-Pierre im Café Atlas zum
Frühstück. Seine Villa Riad Gueliz (+212-6-705 749 14) liegt wirklich ideal: Rund herum viele Cafés, gute
Restaurants, Geschäfte und zu Fuss nur 20 Minuten vom Jemaa el Fna, dem grossen
Platz und Zentrum des Geschehens von Marrakech entfernt!
I went back to sleep until 10 am and then met with Jean-Pierre at the Café Atlas for breakfast. His Villa Riad Gueliz (+212-6-705 749 14) is situated ideally: In midst of many cafés, fine restaurants and shops and it only takes about 20 minutes to walk to the Jemaa el Fna, the big square and heart of the action in Marrakech!

Nach 3
Nächten bei Jean-Pierre wechselte ich ein Apartment im ‘Les Terrasses de
Bagatelle‘ (+212-6-299 294 01) gleich neben dem Restaurant Bagatelle. Ich war auf der Suche nach
einem Apartment, das ich tage- oder monatsweise mieten kann, wenn ich in
Marrakech verweile… und eines Abends lernte ich Noureddine kennen, der mir
dieses hübsche Apartment von Widyane empfiehl, das ich am nächsten Morgen anschauen
ging und gleich für ein Probewohnen für 2 Nächte mietete. Widyane vermietet es
sonst nicht und hat mir interessante Mietpreise pro Tag und Monat gemacht – genau,
was ich suchte! Die Wohnung ist nicht
nur an idealer Lage mit vielen Cafés, Restaurants, Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und
ebenfalls ca. 20 Minuten vom Jemaa el Fna entfernt , sondern hat auch eine
Tiefgarage und eine Waschmaschine! : )
After 3 nights in Jean-Pierre’s Villa Riad Guelize I moved to an apartment in 'Les Terrasses de Bagatelle' (+212-6-299 294 01) next to the restaurant Bagatelle. I was looking for an apartment, which I could rent per day or month when I stay in Marrakech... and one evening I got to know Noureddine, who recommended this lovely apartment of Widyane, which I went to see the next morning and rented for a trial stay of 2 nights. Usually Widyane does not rent it out and offered me interesting day and month rates - exactly what I was looking for! The apartment is not only situated in an ideal location with many cafés, restaurants, shops and also about 20 minutes walk from Jemaa el Fna, but it also has an underground car park and a washing machine! : )

Es war
sehr heiss in Marrakech: 40 - 45 Grad, am Abend herrliche 25. So ordnete ich
tagsüber meine Siebensachen (ich hatte keine Ahnung mehr, was ich eigentlich
dabei hatte und was sich in welcher Tasche befand), wusch meine Kleider und
arbeitete an meinem Blog. Um meine Webseite fertigzustellen fand ich leider
weder die Musse noch die Zeit… ich hoffe das werde ich in den nächsten 2 Wochen
in Essaouira finden…
Auch hier
in Marrakech nutzte ich einmal die Gunst der Morgenstunde und ging kurz nach 7
Uhr joggen… zuerst der fast leeren Mohammed V entlang, dann um den ganzen Jemaa
el Fna und auf dem Rückweg durch den Cyber Park, wo ich an einem grünen, ruhigen
Platz auch meine Stretchübungen machen konnte.
Als ich
eines Abend der Avenue Mohamed V entlang lief, stiess ich auf
Dominique aus Genf, die ich im März in Diabat kennengelernt hatte! Sie führte dort
das Hotel Jimi Hendrix und nun seit Ende Juni führt sie das Restaurant und Bar
La Table du Marché (https://www.hivernage-hotel.com/restaurant-hivernage-marrakech) in Marrakech. Auf dem Weg zur Medina probierte ich zudem alle
Banken aus bis ich tatsächlich eine fand, wo ich nicht nur 2000 Dirham beziehen
konnte! : )
It was very hot in Marrakech: 40 - 45 centigrade at daytime and lovely 25 during the nights. Consequently during the day I ordered my belongings (I had no idea, what I actually had with me and in which bag is was), did my laundry and worked on my blog. But unfortunately I did not find time and leisure to continue my website... I hope I will during the next 2 weeks in Essaouira...
Also here in Marrakech I once seized the moment of the morning hours and went for a run shortly after 7 am... first along the almost empty Mohammed V, then all around the Jemaa el Fna and on the way back through the Cyber Park, where I found a quiet in a green space to do also my stretching exercises.
When I walked along the Avenue Mohamed V one evening, I came across Dominique from Geneva, who I had met in Diabat last March! She ran the Jimi Hendrix Hotel there and since end of June she is running the bar and restaurant La Table du Marché (https://www.hivernage-hotel.com/restaurant-hivernage-marrakech) here in Marrakech. On the way to the Medina I also tried out all the banks until I actually found one, where I was able to withdraw more than only 2000 Dirham! : )

Ich besuchte die Medina, den Jemaa al Fna und nahm ich mir alle Zeit durch die
Souks zu schlendern, die angepriesene Wäre zu begutachten, zu feilschen und
Freunde zu besuchen. Ich verabredete mich für geschäftliche Treffen um Preise
zu besprechen und setze mich in meine Lieblingscafes und -restaurants und
lernte neue kennen…
I visited the Medina, the Jemaa al Fna and took my time to stroll through the souks to inspect the products on offer, to bargain and to visit friends. I arranged some business meetings to discuss prices and sat down in my favorite cafés and restaurants and got to know new ones as well...

Und ich habe gleich zwei Mal eine Tour auf einer Vespa erhalten: Einmal um Mitternacht mit
Jean-Pierre eine exklusive Tour durch Marrakech und das andere Mal mit Simou zum Pacha und zurück - es war herrlich um Mitternacht durch die beleuchtete und
pulsierende Stadt zu fahren!

And I was offered a tour on a Vespa twice: Once I got an exclusive tour of Marrakech
at midnight with Jean-Pierre and then with Simou to Pacha and back - it was lovely to
drive through the beautiful and vibrant
city at night!
