Frühstück einkaufen / buying breakfast, Geliz/Marrakech

 

 

Ich machte mich gemütlich reisebereit und genoss mein Frühstück, das ich unten in den Shops gekauft hatte: Bsimen, ein dunkles und ein helles Fladenbrot, eine Tomate und Orangen. Als ich dann Widyane so wie Mouad anrufen wollte und nicht durchkam, merkte ich dass etwas mit meinem Telefon nicht stimmte... Zum Glück nahm Widyane pünktlich um 12 Uhr  ihre Wohnung zurück in ihren Besitz und ich konnte weiter und mein Telefonproblem bei der Maroc Telecom lösen lassen: Ich musste mich nur registrieren lassen und alles war wieder beim Alten! : )

I leisurely got ready for my journey and enjoyed my breakfast, which I had bought in the shops downstairs: Bsimen, a dark and a white flatbread, a tomato and oranges. When I tried to call Widyane as well as Mouad and did not get through, I realized that something was wrong with my phone... Luckily Widyane arrived on time at noon to take back her apartment into her possession and I could leave to have my phone problem solved with Maroc Telecom: I just had to register myself and everything was back to normal! : )

Um 13:30 Uhr war ich dann endlich auf der Strasse nach Essaouira und fuhr nonstop durch die karge Landschaft, so dass ich um 16 Uhr nach 180 km dort ankam. Unterwegs hatte ich Anrufe erhalten, dass 4 der 5 Wohnungen, die ich anschauen wollte, erst morgen frei wären... blieb also nur noch die in der Medina, und eigentlich will ich lieber ausserhalb am Meer wohnen... So hielt ich instinktiv bei einem der vielen Schlüsseljungen (mit dem Schlüssel Winken heisst Apartment zu vermieten) und es war Ali. Wir verstanden uns auf Anhieb und in 2 Stunden hatte ich 6 Wohnungen ausserhalb der Stadt (leider nur eine mit Teilmeersicht) und 3 in der Medina angeschaut - keine überzeugte mich, so dass ich beschloss für eine Nacht im Hotel Miramar (https://www.miramaressaouira.com) zu logieren und morgen weiterzusuchen. Ich hatte Glück und erhielt ein Zimmer mit Meersicht! - Und es war wie nach Hause kommen: Ich wurde herzlich empfangen und erhielt einen perfekten Service, wie immer!

 

Da ich letzte Nacht nicht sehr viel geschlafen habe, war ich todmüde und für keine grossen Sprünge mehr zu haben... Ich ass im Hotelrestaurant zu Abend und versuchte mich durch das ganze Buffet marokkanischer Leckerbissen. Zum Dessert (Eis und Cappuccino) ging ich gegenüber ins Strandrestaurant-Lounge-Bar Côte Plage (https://golfdessaouira.com) um den Tag bei cooler Reggaemusik (Alpha Blondy) und schreibend nochmals Revue passieren zu lassen...

At 1:30 pm I was finally on the road to Essaouira and drove nonstop through the barren landscape, so I arrived there after 180 km at 4 pm. On the way I received calls that 4 of the 5 apartments, I wanted to have a look at, only would be free from tomorrow... consequently what was left was the apartment in the Medina, but actually I would rather live outside at the sea... So I stopped instinctively at one of the many key boys (waving with the key means there is an apartment for rent) and it was Ali. We got along immediately and in 2 hours I had seen 6 flats outside the city (unfortunately only one with partial sea view) and 3 in the Medina - none convinced me, that’s why I decided to fet a room for a night at the Hotel Miramar (https://www.miramaressaouira.com) and continue my search tomorrow. I was lucky and got a room with sea view! - And it was like coming home: I was warmly welcomed and received a perfect service, like always!

  

As I did not get much sleep last night, I was dead tired and therefore not able to live it up... I had dinner at the hotel restaurant and tried out the whole buffet of Moroccan delicacies. For dessert (ice cream and cappuccino) I went across the street to the Beach Restaurant-Lounge-Bar Côte Plage (https://golfdessaouira.com) to recall the happenings of the day writing and with cool reggae music (Alpha Blondy) playing in the background...
