Auf Wohnungssuche
In search of an apartment
Nach
meiner Nacht im Hotel Miramar (https://www.miramaressaouira.com) ging mein Wecker um 9 Uhr, ich stürzte mich in
meine Joggingkleider und ging eine Stunde barfuss am Meer joggen – einfach nur
genial von so vieler frischen Luft aufgepumpt zu werden! : ) Zum Schwimmen war mir
das Wasser jedoch immer noch zu kühl, das Meer zu wild und der Wind zu stark...
und dabei blieb es auch für die restliche Zeit hier, so dass ich bis jetzt hier
nie schwimmen ging.
Ich frühstückte ausgiebig und bevor mich Mouad um 12 Uhr besuchte, genoss endlich ein langersehntes Bad in meiner Badewanne! : ) Mouad ist schon seit Samstag hier in
Essaouira… seine Frau Anna und Tochter Mariam sind aus Spanien für 2 Wochen
angereist und der Arme war ganz überfordert... das Mimöschen lag doch tatsächlich
2 geschlagene Tage krank im Bett seit sie hier sind! - Als ich Mouad vor 1 1/2 Jahren in der Wüste an einem Hochzeit kennenlernte, erzählte er mir, dass er in Scheidung lebe. Ich gab ihm ein Jahr Zeit, bis wir uns wiedertrafen und er log mir noch stets dasselbe vor... Das weiss ich heute: Er sagt weder seiner Frau noch mir die Wahrheit, erwähnte er doch heute, dass seine Frau ein zweites Kind möchte!? - Ich war sprachlos aber mein Vertrauen in Mouad begann zu schwinden... : (
After my night at the Hotel Miramar (https://www.miramaressaouira.com), my alarm went off at 9 am. I threw on my jogging clothes and went for an hour's barefoot run on the beach – it was simply fantastic to be invigorated by so much fresh air! : ) However, the water was still too cold for me to swim, the sea too rough, and the wind too strong... and it stayed like that for the rest of my stay, so I haven't been swimming here ever.
I had a hearty breakfast and, before Mouad visited me at noon, I finally enjoyed a long-awaited bath in my bathtube! : ) Mouad has been here in Essaouira since Saturday... his wife Anna and daughter Mariam arrived from Spain for two weeks, and the poor guy was completely overchallenged... he had actually been sick in bed for two whole days since they arrived! - When I met Mouad at a wedding in the desert a year and a half ago, he told me he was going through a divorce. I gave him a year until we met again, and he still lied to me in the same way... I know this now: He's not telling the truth to either his wife or me, didn't he mention today that his wife wants a second child? - I was speechless, but my trust in Mouad began to dwindle... : (

Auf jeden
Fall gingen wir zusammen einige Appartements anschauen und trafen etwas später
Ali (meinen Wohnungssuchehelfer von gestern) um noch mehr zu begutachten bis wir um 16 Uhr bei Latifa und Noureddine das Passende für den Moment gefunden
hatten. Ich mietete die hübsche Wohnung (+212-6-684 193 96) mit privater Terrasse für 5 Tage
Probewohnen mit Option Aufzahlung/Verlängerung auf einen Monat, was wir später nach
meiner positiven Entscheidung auch auf der Mairie beglaubigen liessen.
Anyway, together we went to see some apartments and met a little later Ali (my apartment-search-helper of yesterday) to examine still some more until we found around pm Latifa and Noureddine’s apartment, which was the one for the moment. I rented the pretty apartment (+212-6-684 193 96) with private terrace for a 5 days trial stay with the option of supplement/extension to one month, which we also certified later on after my positive decision at the municipal hall.

Mein
Wohnungssuchernetzwerk funktionierte bestens, denn immer wieder erhielt ich
Telefonanrufe und Termine Wohnungen zu besichtigen. Und wer weiss, vielleicht
finde ich auch meine Wohnung mit Meersicht und Badewanne ohne ein Vermögen
ausgeben zu müssen?
Auf einer Wohnungsbesichtigung begegnete ich Mouad mit seiner Familie. Anna hatte mein Auto erkannt und sagte mir, dass sie mich kennen lernen wollte…
eigentlich schon lange, wie ich! Aber Mouad hielt uns beide von unserem Wunsch
ab – ich bin ja gespannt was er ihr über mich erzählt hat? - Es war eine schöne und
bewegende Begegnung und am liebsten wäre ich mit der Wahrheit herausgeplatzt und was Mouad über sie sagt…
My apartment finder network worked well, because again and again I received phone calls and appointments to visit apartments. And who knows, maybe I'll find my apartment with sea view and a bathtub without spending a fortune?
Once when I went to see apartments, I crossed Mouad with his family. Anna had recognized my car and told me, that she wanted to get to know me... already for a long time, like me! But Mouad kept us from getting to know each other – I really wonder what he told her about me? - It was a very nice and touching encounter and I would have more than loved to tell her the truth and what he is telling about her...

Ich ging regelmässig am Strand joggen und spielte Golf auf dem wunderschönen
Links Golf de Mogador (https://www.mogadorgolf-academy.com) in Diabat. Mit sehr viel Wind, was das Spiel äusserst schwierig und
ermüdend machte! Auf den Strand begegnete ich beim Joggen eine Gruppe, die im Yoga vertieft war, und
machte so die Bekanntschaft mit Mahatara und Yoga in Essaouira! : )
Of course I regularly went for my runs on the beach and even played golf on the beautiful Links Golf de Mogador (https://www.mogadorgolf-academy.com) in Diabat. With a lot of wind, which made the game very difficult and tiring. One day while jogging I met a group absorbed in yoga on the beach and so got to know Mahatara and Yoga in Essaouira! : )

Natürlich
kundschaftete ich auch meine neue Nachbarschaft aus und fand heraus, dass es nur 5
Minuten zu Fuss zum Strand sind! : )) In aller nächster Nähe befinden sich viele
Cafés und Restaurants und gleich 2 Supermarkts, die 24 Stunden fast alles
verkaufen! So klappere ich morgens die verschiedenen Läden ab bis ich das habe,
was ich zum Frühstück brauche. Es macht Spass hier einzukaufen, mit den Leuten
zu plaudern und die Ware sieht ungespritzt aus! In nächster Nähe befinden sich
auch einige Hamams, eines davon habe ich bereits ausprobiert! : )
Of course I scouted out my new neighborhood and found out that it takes only 5 minutes to the beach on foot! : )) At close range there are many cafes and restaurants and even 2 supermarkets that sell almost everything 24 hours a day! In the mornings I am visiting various shops until I have what I need for breakfast. It's fun to shop here, to chat with the people and the vegetable and fruit look like they have not been sprayed! Close by there are also some hammams, one of which I have already tried out! : )

Wenn ich
selber koche, kaufe ich frischen Fisch im Hafen. Latifa, die Vermieterin, meint
es zu gut mit mir, so dass sie mir immer wieder ihre Delikatessen raufbringt… Am
Abend nehme ich gerne Einladungen von Freunden entgegen und besuche
altbekannte oder entdecke neue Restaurants…

When I cook myself, I buy fresh fish in the harbor. Latifa, the landlady, is spoiling me and now and then brings up some of her delicacies... And in the evenings I gladly accept invitations from friends and visit well-known respectively discover new restaurants...
