Gut
erholt erwachte ich um 9:30 Uhr, Moni war schon seit einer Stunde am Lesen...
Nach dem Frühstück auf der Dachterrasse des Riad Dar Najat (https://www.riaddarnajat.com), machten wir uns auf zu Fuss
die Medina zu erkunden.
Well rested I woke up at 9:30 am, Moni was already reading since one hour... After breakfast on the roof terrace of the Riad Dar Najat (https://www.riaddarnajat.com), we went on foot to explore the medina.

Immer
noch waren viele Geschäfte zu (so hatte Mido vom Riad Dar Najat schon geklagt,
dass er das Brot heute morgen in der Neustadt kaufen gehen musste!). Nichtsdestotrotz
marschierten wir durch die Souks und besuchten erst mal die Gerbereien.
There were still a lot of shops closed (what Mido from Riad Dar Najat already complained this morning, because he had to go and buy the bread in the new part of town). Nevertheless, we marched through the souks and first visited the tanneries.

Unter den
gedeckten Souks war es super angenehm, aber als wir den Djemaa El Fna
errichten, erschlug uns die starke Sonne fast (um die 40 Grad) und wir
flüchteten in den Schatten des Restaurants Panoramique mit herrlicher Sicht auf
den Djemaa al Fna.
Den Rest
des Nachmittags verbrachten wir im Hotel dösend und arbeitend.
Heute fanden wir übrigens heraus, dass Moni und ich uns genau vor einem Jahr
(gestern 6.10. als sie ankam) in Lovina, Bali kennengelernt hatten! - Gibt es
Zufälle? : )
Under the covered souks it was super pleasant, but when we reached the Djemaa El Fna, the strong sun (around 40 centigrade) made us take refuge under the umbrellas on the roof terrace of the Panoramique restaurant with stunning views of the Djemaa al Fna.
The rest of the afternoon we spent at the hotel dozing and working a bit. By the way, today we found out that Moni and I met each other exactly one year ago (yesterday the 6th of October) in Lovina, Bali! - Do coincidences exist? : )

Dann rief
Abderrahim an, dass er jetzt von Safi mit dem Taxi Richtung Marrakech fährt... Er
wird morgen mit uns über den Atlas nach Tagounite fahren! : ) Um 19:30
Uhr verabredeten wir uns auf dem Djemaa El Fna, wo wir Trockenobst für
unsere Reise morgen einkauften...
Then Abderrahim called, that he was sitting in a taxi from Safi to Marrakech... He will travel with us over the Atlas to Tagounite tomorrow! : ) At 7:30 pm we met on the Djemaa El Fna, where we bought dried fruit for our trip tomorrow...

Darauf
schlenderten wir durch die engen Gassen, immer den vielen Fahr- und Motorrädern
ausweichend, und erreichten um 20:30 Uhr das Restaurant Dar Es Salam (https://www.facebook.com/daressalammarrakech), wo wir in
gemütlichem Ambiente mit Musik und Tanz eine Tajine genossen. Übrigens drehte
Hitchcock hier einen Teil seines Filmes 'Der Mann der zuviel wusste'.

Then we strolled through the narrow
streets - always careful not being run over by all
the bicycles and motorcycles - and arrived at 8:30 pm
at the restaurant Dar Es Salaam (https://www.facebook.com/daressalammarrakech), where we enjoyed a tagine in cozy atmosphere with music and dance.
By the way, a part of Hitchcock’s his film 'The Man Who Knew Too Much' was shot here.
