Heute
morgen erwachte ich bereits kurz nach 8 Uhr, machte mich gemütlich bereit und
ging ins Café Platinium frühstücken. Danach fuhr ich durch die Stadt El Jadida,
die sichtlich am Aufblühen schein seit ich 2010 das letzte Mal hier war. Prächtige
Promenaden waren bereits erstellt oder in Bau, nur der Abfall lässt auch hier
noch viel Arbeit für clean & clear übrig…
This morning I woke up shortly after 8 am, got slowly ready and went to the café Platinium for breakfast. Then I drove through the city of El Jadida, which looks really flourishing since the last time I was here in 2010. Magnificent promenades were already built or under construction, just what waste is concerned, there is here a lot of work for clean & clear...

Um 12 Uhr
erhielt ich einen grandiosen Empfang von Rachida und ihren Mitarbeitern auf dem
Golfplatz Royal Golf El Jadida (http://golf-eljadida.com)! : ) Die bereits 36 Grad und höllische
Rückenschmerzen (vom Abfalleinsammeln?) waren nicht gerade die ideale
Voraussetzung um 18 Loch zu bewältigen, so mietete ich einen Golfwagen und einen
Caddy… Während ich mich von einem Ball zum andern freilief, jagte Simo meinen
verstreuten Bällen hinterher und fand sie sogar – nicht wie ich blindes Huhn
ohne Geduld! ; )
At noon I arrived at the Royal Golf El Jadida goIf course (http://golf-eljadida.com) and had a terrific welcome by Rachida and her staff! : ) The already 36 centigrade and hellish back pain (from waste collecting?) were not the ideal condition to deal with18 holes, so I rented a golf cart and a caddy... While I walked myself free from one ball to the other, Simo chased after my scattered balls and even found them – not like me blind chicken without patience! ; )

Langsam
verbreitete sich eine Nebelschicht über die Küste und die Temperatur sank auf
28 Grad, wie es bis tief in die Nacht auch blieb. Nach einem Espresso auf der
Terrasse im Golfrestaurant führte mich Simo durchs Spa & Fitness und dann nahm
ich die 100 km nach Casablanca in Angriff.
Slowly a layer of fog spread over the coast and the temperature dropped to 28 centigrade, as it remained until deep into the night. After an espresso on the terrace in the golf restaurant, Simo made a tour with me through the Spa & Fitness and thereafter I took the 100 km to Casablanca.

Casablanca
stand zwar nie auf meiner Liste, zu viele Leute hatten mir Schlechtes darüber
berichtet! Ich war nur einmal da, und zwar im Jahre 2008, als ich mich mit
Freunden in einem gediegenen Restaurant am Meer verabredet hatte und anschliessend
die Hassan II Moschee besuchte… Und es war der blanke Horror jetzt: Ich benötigte
doch tatsächlich 1 ½ Stunden um Claude zu finden! Ich gelangte zwar schnell auf
die Boulevard Zerktouni, aber als ich nach Immeuble Liberté fragte, kannten es
die meisten Leute nicht oder schickten mich wieder in die andere Richtung… Nach
vielem Hin- und Hertelefonieren fand ich ihn schlussendlich am vereinbarten Treffpunkt und bezog das
wunderschöne Apartment Leyna, das mir Claude organisiert hatte!
Casablanca was never on my list, too many people have told me bad things about it! I was only there once, namely in 2008, when I met friends in a gorgeous seaside restaurant and thereafter visited the Hassan II mosque... And it was the pure horror now: It took me 1 ½ hours to find Claude! Although I arrived quickly on the Boulevard Zerktouni, most people didn’t seem to know Immeuble Liberté or sent me back in the other direction... After many phone calls I finally found him at the meeting point and installed myself in the beautiful apartment Leyna, which Claude had organized for me!

Ich hatte
gerade noch eine halbe Stunde um etwas auszuruhen, dann ging das Programm
weiter… Wir holten George ab und fuhren zum Restaurant Le Balcon 33 (https://www.facebook.com/p/Balcon-33-100070062510457). Dies ist
ein altehrwürdiges Restaurant, das George 1969 mit dem jetzigen Besitzer
gegründet und einige Jahre geführt hat. Nach einem exzellenten Abendessen
freute ich mich nur noch auf mein Bett…

I only had half an hour to rest and
freshen up, thereafter the program continued... We picked up George and drove
to the restaurant Le Balcon 33 (https://www.facebook.com/p/Balcon-33-100070062510457). This is a traditional restaurant, which George founded
in 1969 with the current owner and managed for some years. After an excellent dinner
there was only one thing I was looking forward to: My bed...
